Cafes across several Gulf Arab states started serving coffee and cold drinks in baby bottles this month, with pictures going viral on social media. Inspection teams reached cafes in Dubai where the trend had taken off and handed out fines. In Bahrain, the Ministry of Commerce sent police armed with live cameras into cafes and said the trend “violates traditions”.
